We all had one of those relentlessly bland childhoods where we were forced by our parents to eat
vegetables. No matter now well-behaved we have been in our childhood, there was one such
vegetable for every single one of us that made us go from being well behaved to a brats in 2
seconds. Even as adults only a handful of us like eating vegetables. We all know that it is one of the
best things for us and yet our disgust will know no bounds if we have to eat those greens now. Let
me tell you some benefits of eating vegetables.

Carrots– Carrots as we all know are very good for our eyes; they are rich in antioxidants that are very
important for maintaining health. It is also known to decrease heart risks like stroke and heart
attack.

Lettuce– It is an excellent source of fibre and cellulose in our body. A good intake of lettuce will
improve digestion, relieve constipation. It is filled with calcium that is important for bone hardening.
Lettuce is also known to improve your hair texture and maintain its strength.

Broccoli– This is by far the most infamous vegetable for both adults and kids. But lettuce is an
excellent source of vitamin c, vitamin k and folic acid that helps blood clotting, proper digestion and
lowering of blood cholesterol levels. Broccoli is even known to prevent cancer and it efficiently
detoxifies your body.

Tomatoes– These gorgeous vegetables are widely used in salads and various other recipes. Tomatoes
are rich in antioxidants and lycopene that is known to improve the elasticity of the skin cells. It has
contents like glucose, fructose and healthy carbohydrates. Potassium is another main component of
tomatoes and it is known to keep blood pressure in check and also prevents any cardiovascular
diseases.
